How it works

Five kinds of work, each with its own flow

A remote Gig isn't a local task, a tradesperson isn't a freelancer, and a job isn't a project. Here's how each one goes from posting to sign-off on Gigvora.

Projects

Client and freelancer or agency · remote

A brief with milestones, fixed-price or hourly. Projects are freelance work — not employment.

  1. Post

    Client posts a project

Scope, budget and milestones, published to the Explorer.

  2. Respond

    Freelancers send proposals

Each proposal sets out approach, timeline and price.

  3. Agree

    Client accepts a proposal

That opens a project workspace with the agreed milestones.

  4. Deliver

    Work is submitted

Deliverables are submitted per milestone; hourly work logs time.

  5. Sign off

    Client approves

Each milestone is approved or sent back for revision, then the project is completed.

Gigs

Buyer and seller · remote

A packaged, fixed-scope remote service the seller defines up front.

  1. Post

    Seller publishes a Gig

Packages, delivery time and included revisions.

  2. Respond

    Buyer chooses a package

Buyers message the seller today; ordering opens with live payments.

  3. Agree

    Requirements are shared

The order starts once the seller has what they need.

  4. Deliver

    Seller delivers

The result is delivered in the order's workspace.

  5. Sign off

    Buyer accepts

Or requests a revision within the package's terms.

Tasks

Poster and local helper · in person

A small, one-off job at a place and time — not a remote Gig.

  1. Post

    Someone posts a task

What, roughly where and when. Only an approximate area is public.

  2. Respond

    Local people make offers

Helpers nearby offer to do it and can ask questions.

  3. Agree

    Poster accepts an offer

The task is assigned and a workspace opens.

  4. Deliver

    Helper completes it

They mark the task done when the work is finished.

  5. Sign off

    Poster confirms

Or sends it back if something still needs doing.

Local services

Customer and service provider or tradesperson · in person

An ongoing in-person service with a coverage area. Tradespeople are listed by trade, separately from freelancers.

  1. Post

    Provider lists a service

What's included, pricing approach and the areas covered.

  2. Respond

    Customer requests a quote

Describing the job, place and timing.

  3. Agree

    Customer accepts the quote

    It becomes a confirmed booking.

  4. Deliver

    Provider does the job

The booking moves to in progress and then completed.

  5. Sign off

    Record kept

The booking and its history stay in both workspaces.

Jobs

Organisation and candidate · employment

Employment roles posted by organisations. Jobs end in a hire, not a delivery workspace.

  1. Post

    Organisation posts a job

Role, work mode, location and requirements.

  2. Respond

    Candidates apply

With a cover note and answers to the employer's questions.

  3. Agree

    Screening and interviews

The hiring team moves applicants through stages and records evaluations.

  4. Deliver

    Offer

The employer makes an offer to the chosen candidate.

  5. Sign off

    Hired

The application closes as hired; employment continues outside Gigvora.

Across every flow

What stays the same

One inbox

Questions, proposals and updates for every kind of work arrive in the same Gigvora inbox.

A shared record

Each status change is recorded in the activity history, visible to both sides.

Checks you can read

Badges appear only once a check is completed — never because something was uploaded.

Payments

Payments through Gigvora are being introduced. Checkout is still in testing and no real money moves through Gigvora yet — every fee will be shown before you confirm.
