Trust & safety
Built so people can work together with confidence
These are the protections in Gigvora today. Where something is still being built, we say so.
Your data stays yours
Every record is protected by database-level access rules, so people only see what their account, organisation role or conversation membership allows.
No browsing private messages
Gigvora staff can't read conversations at will. Support staff can see a conversation only for a support case they're assigned, for a limited time, and every access is recorded.
Verification you can read
Badges appear only after a check has been completed, and show what was checked. Submitting documents doesn't make anyone “verified”.
Secure sign-in
Strong password rules, email confirmation, and authenticator-app codes — required for every Gigvora administrator session.
Block and report
Block anyone from contacting you, and report conversations or messages to our trust team in a couple of clicks.
Audited administration
Administrative actions are attributed to a named person and written to an audit log that administrators can't edit.
Identity & credentials
Identity and qualification checks are shown on a profile only once they've been completed, with what was checked. Uploading a document starts a check — it never makes anyone “verified” on its own.
Work Passport
Your Work Passport is your profile's record of skills, experience and work samples. You choose what's public, and anything you add yourself is shown as self-reported.
Reputation
Ratings on Gigvora come only from completed work: the client and the provider can each review the other within 30 days. Reviews are double-blind — neither side sees the other's review until both have posted or 14 days have passed — so nobody can retaliate. The reviewed person can reply once in public, anyone can report a review to our trust team, and no rating is ever invented or estimated.
Clear commercial workflows
Proposals, offers, quotes and applications are separate, and accepting one opens a shared workspace where agreed terms, milestones and every status change are visible to both sides. See how it works.
Staying safe on Gigvora
- Keep payments for Gigvora work on Gigvora wherever the platform provides a payment flow.
- Never share your password or sign-in codes — Gigvora will never ask for them.
- Be wary of anyone asking for gift cards, cryptocurrency or to move the conversation elsewhere quickly.
- Official messages from us are labelled Gigvora Support and only appear in support cases.
Resolution Centre
If something goes wrong with work, either side can open a Resolution case from that work. Payment for the work is held, both sides add evidence, and you can agree a settlement — a refund, a fix, a new deadline or releasing payment. If you can't agree, a Gigvora reviewer decides under the published Dispute Policy, and you can appeal once. These decisions are Gigvora's own process, not arbitration, and don't affect your statutory rights.
Still being built
Real-money payments aren't live yet — checkout is in testing and no real money moves through Gigvora today. File sharing (including file evidence in Resolution cases) is limited until malware scanning is in place. We'll update this page as each protection launches.
